There is a Protrix SALE where by each course is only £5.99 to download! This has got to be a rock bottom price!

www.protrix.co.uk

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I've finally finished the new 2 hour Protrix course 'How to Create a Website' for Absolute beginners. 28 Video-Tutorials long. There's a special intro price at the moment!

There's a free mini version of the course, which has some key tutorials. Hopefully this will encourage people to buy the full version once they've seen the free tutorials.

I've also got into baking bread recently. Its much cheaper and tastier than shop-bought. If I want to save time I've discovered that I don't even need to kneed the dough

When that's the case I just mix up the flour, yeast, water and salt in a bowl (and a bit of sugar sometimes); then shove it in the loaf tin, wait an hour or 2 and put it in the oven for 25mins or so.

Sometime I'll make a culture of yeast to make my own sourdough.

2nd June 2011

So my big news is that I'm going back to Uni, to UWE Bristol to study Paramedic Science. Apparently there were over 1000 applications for 25 places, so I'm quite chuffed.

I've been on 3 shifts with the London Ambulance Service so far, and loved it, so really looking forward to September to start training.

Just got a textbook to start reading for the course...'Emergency care in the streets', which is over 4kg in weight!! I could knock a patient out by mistake with it!

14th Dec 2010

I have updated the IT Test, to make it slightly easier, but still with a couple of more difficult questions in it.

Also, the "=" sign didn't seem to want to type into Flash on any of the work computers, so none of my students could pass one of the questions.

The link is here for your joy and entertainment with a MS Word and Excel IT test.

1 month since Lucy and I's wedding day!
This last month has flown by, including a honeymoon in Anacapri, Italy (Near Naples).

The wedding was great fun; the best wedding I've ever been to! Lucy looked gorgeous!!

She's been busy trying to change her name and address on all of her documents. We also spent 7 hours in Ikea and I've discovered that I like putting up flat-pack furniture. Adult Lego, that's what it is!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

3rd June 2010

1 month to go until I'm married to Lucy! We found a little 1 bedroom flat in central London where we both can commute to work. Last bits to do...all is going well.

I have made an IT test at work for the new students so we can assess their level. It has 12 questions and can be found here

12th April 2010

Less than 11 weeks until I'm married. Time flies fast! I've been doing lots for it...designing the invites, getting addresses, booking a honeymoon, thinking through all of the major and minor details for the day.

At the moment I still have the order of service books to design, and a biggy - finding somewhere for Lucy and I to live once we are married! It seems that whenever I ring up an estate agent, the flat I'm interested in seems to have been taken. Guess I'll have to just keep trying.

Lucy and I have been to 2 weddings in the last 2 weeks. Here's a pic of us at Andy and Bib's wedding. A jazz evening, with a tasty buffet!

The Non-profit charity I have been working for /Fivee Ltd) www.fivee.co.uk are sending me out to India for 3 weeks. I have been working as an Employment Advisor and now a Teacher, teaching lots of useful stuff on team skills, customer service, conflict resolution and of course how to outwit a goat at 20 paces. I'm actually really enjoying it!

Lucy's letting me go for the 3 weeks, but I have to be back in one piece.

Thought I'd add a pic of me juggling coloured balls that Richard Turner very kindly bought me from Tesco!

31st December 09

Happy Christmas and new year to all you jugglers and non-jugglers. This year there may be a split in jugglingjoe.co.uk....what I mean is a split between juggling and personal.

Most visitors are people looking at juggling related topics, but people who use the site for the longest are those who are looking at my photos and personal stuff.

Therefore I've been considering doing 2 sections with a nice looking flashy welcome page.

However with a wedding to prepare for, time is precious!

Happy new year and 2010 to you all!

16th Nov 09

Just had a 3 day weekend in Norfolk with Lucy, with very stormy weather. Great fun!

Since June I have been working as an Employment Advisor for Fivee (www.fivee.co.uk), a charity helping people with their CVs, giving them advise etc.

Well, now they've suddenly made me a teacher/trainer, which is a good new challenge. I am teaching classes on lots of different subjects that employers would like, such as conflict resolution, equality and diversity, team skills, etc.

Well now I can tell you why I've not been working on jugglingjoe.co.uk for a while...I've got engaged to my 'now fiance' Lucy Day. So I planned for ages to make it as fun a proposal as I could possibly do.

In a nutshell I proposed round a roaring campfire on a starry night in the countryside.

On other related news, I am only able to take up short graphic/web/flash work for people at the moment rather than work on massive projects. Check out my profile at www.jugglingjoestudios.co.uk if you would like.

Oops that was a bit of a gap - oh well! What news have I?...I am an uncle, to Nathan Meering. I don't have a photo, but will be seeing him very soon. Congrats to Dom and Crystal.

I have been working for Holy Trinity Brompton Church and Alpha International as a temp. (www.alpha.org) - a jolly good course - well often anyway - at least, they feed you well for free! This work has dried up and I am job hunting...again, however it has given me more time to work on designing a brochure for a missionary couple in Sudan.

I'm typing late at night while at Lucy's (my girlfriend) house. She has to get up very early to do a Saturday shift and so is asleep.

25th February 09

Hey folks! Yes I know it's been a while since I posted anything, but it's been snowing, and igloos and snowmen need to be built!

My cunning plan of doing freelance graphic, web, flash design isn't bringing in much doh, so I've been a hunting for full time jobs (Please note - you can still send in your creative projects in return for doh - no problem there!).

Here's a picture of the Igloo I built with Jon and Rich.

2nd January 09

Happy new year to you all!

I've been working more on jugglingjoestudios , which I am very pleased with. I've even made a little web email form, which works well.

I've also started making another little Flash game, which may get worked on and then put up here. If you haven't tried the game 'Boris', you really should do!

www.JugglingJoeStudios.co.uk
This is the new website for my online profile, showing some more of the stuff I can do with graphic and web and flash design, in the hope that you guys will want to pay me lots of money to do some freelance work for you!

Of course, remember that you need a fairly new version of Flash player to see the site.

13th October 08

The latest newsletter is out. Check out the Sudan newsletter page here!

I've got less than a month here in Sudan and then back to old blightly (the UK for you foreigners!)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

3rd October 08

JugglingJoe proudly presents 'Boris'!!! The new Flash game that has taken a few months to do. It's a walky adventure game where you star the newly appointed Mayor of London Boris Johnson. Complete with voices for each character he encounters!

Check it out here!

If you cannot get past any stage in the game, here is the hint page to help you. The Javascript used for the hint page - credit to Sharky for showing me code to learn how to do it. Oh and the game is 3.7mb large so wait for it to download rather than quit thinking that your time has been robbed!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

20th August 08

Well 2 newsletters have been posted in the past 2 months, but I haven't posted it here. A new flash game is on it's way, but I've been very busy with my Relief work with Medair, but I hope to finish it in 3 weeks. It's a really good one about Boris...wait expectantly!

"Eat the World" Flash game now has a ScoreBoard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Colin (www.thedruid.co.uk) for showing me a link to help with the PHP, mySql, XML and Actionscript....Phew!! It also took me a long time to fix a problem, with people giving me tips looking at wrong parts of the code.

I don't think the code is perfect because it does often take even up to 20 mins for the scoreboard to update.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

27th May 08

New Flash Game...again! This time it's called "Eat the World"

It's very simple, but the simple ones often are the best! I'd like to learn how to put a score board up so it'd automatically record peoples scores - that'd be cool!

New Flash Game!! JetMan

It took a while for the breakthrough in understanding some fundamental coding, but I'm there now!

You are a spaceman flying to get back to your ship and avoid evil star things and when you reach 1 min to the end, blue monsters with nasty bitey teeth! However you have coke and Jam on toast to help you!

Click here for a direct link to the game. Requires Adobe Flash Player 9, which you can download here
